Kurtis & Michelle's Effortless Garden Party Wedding

Aracely Cafe, San Francisco

Lush flowers, delicate lace, elegant script, and a hint of sparkle: all ingredients for a romantic, effortless garden party wedding. There's no greater joy than designing for and planning with a couple that puts their full trust in me, and Michelle & Kurtis were one of those couples. With a shared love of simplicity in mind, we set out to design a wedding that captured the sweetness of Michelle & Kurtis's love story.

A color palette of dusty blues and soft blushes was chosen to complement the light-filled space at Aracely Cafe, a charming venue set on Treasure Island overlooking the San Francisco skyline. We designed their invitation suite with simplicity in mind, choosing an elegant script and using multiple layers of texture to add dimension to their suite: vellum printed with botanical sketches, invitation cards with soft edges, delicate paper twine ties, and a champagne wax seal to secure the linen envelopes. Their flowers were designed in a blushing color palette to complement the fresh greenery around the venue, and were composed of delicate blooms of peony, butterfly ranunculus, and two different shades of garden roses (koko loco and caffe latte). We wanted every element of their wedding day to come together as an effortless garden party, celebrating love and new beginnings while surrounded by friends and family. Enjoy the beautiful photos from their sun-filled wedding day!
